Cystometry is performed to measure how well the bladder is working by measuring the pressure inside the bladder as urination occurs.

Penile dopler ultrasound—this procedure measures the flow of blood in and out of the penis. A technician injects the patient’s penis with a vasodilating medication, then the ultrasound transducer is used to scan the penis and provide feedback to a computer.
Renal ultrasound—a non-invasive test, this ultrasound provides our Dallas urologists with images of a patient’s kidneys.
A cystoscopy is a test that can be used to diagnose a variety of urologic problems
The cystoscopy may be performed in our Dallas urology office with local anesthesia or in a surgery center or hospital under general anesthesia.
During the procedure, our urologists insert a cystoscope, which is a flexible tube with a camera lens at the end that allows us to see inside the patient’s bladder and urethra.
