Cialis

Cialis®(tadalafil) is the longest acting of the oral agents for treating Erectile Dysfunction.

It can be effective for 24-36 hours after the dose is taken.  More recently it has been approved for daily dosing where a lower dose is taken daily, allowing the patient to have sexual intercourse at any time he is on the medication.
Cialis® comes in doses of 5, 10 and 20mg for as needed dosing and 2.5 and 5 mg for daily dosing.  You should not take more than your doctor prescribes and should not take more than one pill daily.  It may be taken without regard to meals.  Remember, you will need sexual excitement to achieve an erection.
Some possible side effects include back pain, nasal congestion or headache.
All currently available oral therapy for Erectile Dysfunction belongs to a class of medications called PDE-5 inhibitors and as such, anyone taking nitrates (i.e. nitroglycerin) should not take Viagra®, Levitra®, or Cialis®.
If you have questions about Cialis® or are having trouble with obtaining or maintaining erections, please do not hesitate to contact the Dallas Center for Pelvic Medicine for an appointment to address these issues in a relaxed and dignified atmosphere
